# Swap in place, low-bay cooking, gas sizing and package pages

2026-10-09

> Swap a grill without rebuilding the run, set a power burner or griddle low in a bay, see the gas load and stone count, and compare every package side by side.

This update is about the questions that come up once a design is nearly done: what if we go bigger on the grill, where does the stock-pot burner go, how big is the gas line, and how many slabs of stone is that?

### Swap in place

Select any grill, burner, sink or fridge and open **Swap in place**. It lists every model of the same kind with its width and price. Pick one and it drops into the same spot. In a cabinet run, the cabinets on both sides slide to make room, and a corner and the leg beyond it move with them. In a masonry island, the opening, the counter cut-out and the cut-out schedule follow the new model.

### A low bay for real cooking

The low bay on a custom island can now hold a kamado, a 24″ power burner, a 24″ griddle or a pizza oven. The power burner and griddle are set into the bay counter at a comfortable height, and an access door and a vent go into the wall below them. The burner's notch in the bay counter and the opening in the face are both in the cut-out schedule and the build PDF, to the exact inch.

### Gas load and line size

The layout check now adds up the gas the design burns at once, in BTU per hour, from each appliance's rating. It finds the longest run from the meter or tank and suggests a main line size for natural gas and for propane. It's a starting point for your gas fitter, not a design.

### Clearance checks

Three new checks: a grill under a pergola or roof without a vent hood, a fridge right beside a grill, and a grill close to a wood-sided or framed wall.

### Stone estimate

The countertop panel shows how many pieces the top is cut into, where the seams fall, and how many slabs of the chosen stone it takes. The build PDF lists every piece with its length and depth.

### History and saved views

The **History** button lists every change you made this session in plain words; tap any step to go back to it. **Views**, next to the camera presets, saves the exact shot you framed. Star one and shared links open on that view.

### Package pages

Every Sunstone cabinet island and outdoor kitchen package now has its own page with the layout, what's included, the price, **Open in 3D** and **Buy this package**. The [packages page](https://sunscape.ai/packages) has a side-by-side comparison: tick the ones you're deciding between. The Tango package now also comes with its second grill, the 30″ hybrid, on the return.
