# What's new in Sunscape: customer view links, a cleaner planner and clearer plans

By Sunscape team · 2026-10-09

> Send a customer the whole kitchen in 3D to rearrange and save, bring your plan drawing along on every link, and see exactly what each plan unlocks.

This update is about the moment a design leaves your screen and lands with your customer. Here's what changed.

### Customer view links

From **Designs → Customer view link** you can send a link that opens the whole kitchen in 3D. Your customer doesn't need an account or a plan. They can drag pieces to move them, turn them, reshape a masonry, stud or steel-frame island by dragging its ends, and add a raised bar or a round end. When they press **Save my changes**, their version is saved next to your original — your design is never overwritten.

Every link you've sent is listed in the same place, with each saved version. Open any version (or your original) back in the full configurator and keep working.

### You set the prices and the tools

Each link has its own settings. Turn the estimate on or off, or add a percentage to products, cabinets, countertops, and masonry, stud or welded-frame islands — builders price those differently, so each island counts by how it's built. You also choose which tools the customer gets: measurements, camera angles, fire, saving a picture, changing the countertop and island finishes, and the catalog for adding products.

### Your plan drawing travels with the link

If you imported a 2D drawing and set it to scale, it now goes with share links, approval links and customer view links — at its true size, in the same place, locked so it doesn't move while pieces are dragged.

### Plans you can see at a glance

The free plan is a limited 2D planner, and every tool is still there to see — the ones that need a plan show a lock and tell you what unlocks them. Designer and Professional unlock the 3D configurator, the full Island Builder and every kitchen template. See the [Plans page](https://sunscape.ai/membership) for the details.

### A tidier planner

We removed leftovers that didn't belong: a frame-rate counter in 3D, a "spec sheet soon" label on every product, and confusing wording in error messages. On phones, the drawing bar in 3D now has working Undo, Finish and Cancel buttons.
